How far should I stand from the impact screen when hitting?
For both your safety and the screen’s protection, it’s best to position your hitting area about 10 to 12 feet from the impact screen.
Is it safe to iron or steam my golf impact screen?
We don’t recommend ironing the screen, as heat can easily damage the material. To minimize wrinkles, unpack your screen as soon as it arrives and store it loosely folded if needed. Once mounted tightly with zip ties, most wrinkles will naturally smooth out. If further smoothing is necessary, gently use a household steamer with distilled water to relax the fabric.
Are there any safety precautions I should follow when using a golf simulator?
Absolutely. Always follow the provided assembly instructions, keep children, pets, and bystanders out of the swing zone, and protect nearby surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and windows from errant shots.
Do I need a golf hitting mat?
Yes. A quality hitting mat helps protect your joints and creates a more realistic playing surface. When selecting a mat, consider your stance width and whether both right- and left-handed golfers will be using the setup.
What distinguishes the different Carl’s Enclosure Kits?
The Pro Enclosure Kit features premium materials, larger sizing options, and enhanced durability—perfect for professional or commercial use. What happens if a golf ball hits the black enclosure surround?
The black surround material isn’t intended for direct ball strikes, but occasional rebounds from the screen shouldn’t cause issues. The BlackStop™ fabric used in the Pro Enclosure is Carl’s most durable material, designed to handle light contact safely.
Can I order a replacement impact screen?

How much extra space do I need for installation?
Allow for 6–7 inches of clearance above the enclosure for easier setup. For width, keep 2–3 inches of space on each side (subtract about 4–6 inches total from your room width). You’ll also need at least 9.5 inches of space behind the enclosure for proper fitting.
What type of pipes are required for the enclosure frame?
The Pro Enclosure is designed to be built with 2-inch EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing), which has a true outer diameter of 2.197" (55.8 mm). You can either purchase our Pipe Framing Kit for pre-cut, labeled pipes or buy standard EMT locally from a hardware store.
How long does it take to put the enclosure together?
Assembly typically takes around 2 hours with the help of 2–3 people, depending on the size of the enclosure. We recommend reviewing the assembly video and instruction manual before starting for a smoother setup process.
What exactly are EMT pipes?
EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing)—also known as Electrical Metal Conduit—are durable metal pipes used to form the structure of your enclosure. It’s important to use EMT, not PVC, as PVC pipes are not compatible with the fittings of the Pro Enclosure.
How should I mount my projector?
Projector placement varies depending on your screen size and the projector’s throw ratio. Our team can assist in identifying the ideal mounting position for your specific setup. Common mounting options include flush ceiling mounts, drop mounts, or floor mounts, depending on your space and preferences.
